RRB NTPC 2024 Exam Pattern: The recruitment process for RRB (CEN No. 06/2024) involves a single online application. Candidates need to submit this application through the official websites of RRBs. The recruitment will consist of several stages:

1. 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)
3. Typing Skill Test (if applicable)
4. Document Verification/Medical Examination

The selection will be based on merit in the respective stages. Dates, times, and venues for the tests will be communicated to candidates later. Requests for postponement or changes in schedule will not be accepted.

RRB NTPC 2024 : Online Application Process

Candidates must create an account before applying. If an account was created for earlier CENs in 2024, the same credentials should be used. Once the account is created, no changes can be made to the details, including mobile number and email ID.

RRB NTPC 2024 Exam Pattern

1st Stage CBT:

This test is common for all notified posts under CEN 06/2024 and consists of objective-type questions.

Negative Marking:

• 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The test will be of a screening nature, and candidates will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage CBT based on normalized scores.

2nd Stage CBT:

Candidates will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage CBT based on their performance in the 1st Stage CBT. The exam structure is as follows:

Negative Marking:

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Both Stages:

• UR/EWS: 40%
• OBC (NCL)/SC: 30%
• ST: 25% (relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates).

Typing Skill Test (TST)

• Applicable for posts such as Account Clerk Cum Typist and Junior Clerk Cum Typist.
• Candidates must type 30 words per minute in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.
• PwBD candidates with specific disabilities may be exempt from the TST.

RRB NTPC 2024 Document Verification (DV)

Candidates will be called for document verification based on merit. In case of a tie in scores, the older candidate will be given preference. If the ages are the same, the alphabetical order of the name will be used. After successful verification, the final appointment will be made by the respective Railway Administrations.

RRB NTPC 2024 Normalization of Marks

For tests conducted in multiple sessions, the marks will be normalized to ensure fairness in shortlisting candidates for various stages.

RRB NTPC 2024 Medical Examination and Final Appointment

All shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination. Only after passing the medical test and document verification will candidates be appointed by the respective Railway Administrations.
